Stephen Reeder's profile

Healing Hands Program at Loma Linda University

As chief executive officer of the UCR Group, Stephen Reeder oversees several commercial and residential development projects throughout Southern California. In addition to his real estate development career, Stephen Reeder is an active philanthropist who has made significant donations to more than 20 charitable organizations, including Loma Linda University Medical Center.

A renowned health-sciences university and medical center, Loma Linda operates six hospitals and various remote clinics, treating more than 1.5 million outpatients annually. As part of its ongoing fundraising efforts, Loma Linda offers Healing Hands, a “grateful patient” program that allows patients to recognize and honor caregivers who made a lasting impression.

From the emergency room doctor who delivers difficult news with compassion, to the nurse who attends the birth of a first child, healthcare professionals make a difference. Healing Hands invites patients to make a gift to Loma Linda in the name of a doctor or staff member who made their experience better, as well as to send a personal message. Such simple recognition goes a long way in inspiring caregivers to continue their valuable work.
